No, if the boat comes for service.
Yes, it is mandatory if the boat comes for an annual stay.

 
How is maintenance or repair of vessels performed?

Pier 26 has partners operating at its facilities, but the client may bring in his or her own team.

 
Does Pier 26 suggest workers?

The choice of workers is the sole responsibility of the customer. If the interested party has not yet hired his or her professionals, then there is a list of workers selected by Pier 26 for performing good services to customers, following the company's internal rules and current legislation.

 
How do third parties have access to the vessel?

Workers - In order to gain access to the vessel, in addition to the owner's permission, they must provide a simple copy of the following documents:

Legal Entity (Company):

  • Social contract
  • CNPJ
  • Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA)
  • Occupational Health and Medical Control Program (PCMSO)
  • Registration in the Employee Card
  • Employee Occupational Health Certificate (ASO)
     
    Individual (Self Employed) and Individual Micro Entrepreneur (MEI):
  • Competent organ registration
  • Occupational Health Certificate (ASO)
     
    Guests: To have access to the boat, people must have authorization from the owner.

    What are the documents required in Brazil for foreign vessel entry?

    Brazil has rules for the control of goods and people who enter and exit the country. Passports of all crew members and documents of ownership of the vessel shall be presented at definitive entry and exit to the following departments: Federal Police, Federal Revenue of Brazil, National Sanitary Surveillance Agency and Brazilian Navy.

     
    What is the [maximum] length of stay of a foreign vessel in Brazil?

    It is the same granted by the Federal Police for the permanence of its owner in our country (up to 90 days) and proving the need may be renewed for an equal period. According to Decree No. 5.887 of September 6, 2006, in the case of a sports or pleasure boat, if the owner wishes to be temporarily absent from Brazil, he must formalize a contract with the marina in which he must remain moored and unused, maximum for 2 (two) years.
